Privacy Policy

Strokade · strokade.com · Last updated: July 2026

The short version: there are no accounts and no shared database. Your settings, your session history (only if you choose to save it), and any device connection key are stored only in your own browser, on your own device. I don't sell, share, or monetize your data.

What I store, and where

All app state lives in your browser's localStorage on this device: your 18+ confirmation, your stroke-range preference and overclock opt-in, your music and visuals settings (including any clip tags you choose), a short-lived visuals access token, session history entries you explicitly save, and, if you enter one, your Handy connection key. None of this is kept on my server.

Clear data in the app's settings removes everything except the device connection key (the app tells you this and returns to first-run, including the age gate); the key itself is removed with Forget this device, or by clearing your browser storage.

Network requests the app makes

Cookies, analytics, and ads

The app sets no tracking cookies, runs no analytics at all (first- or third-party; I don't even count visitors), and serves no advertising. One technical session cookie keeps your playback session separate from other users on the same server; it is a random identifier carrying no personal data, and it expires on its own. Donation links open the provider's own site in a new tab; I embed no third-party widgets.

Verify it yourself

You don't have to take any of this on faith. The app ships unminified: your browser's view-source shows every line of code it runs, and the network inspector (F12 → Network) shows every request it makes: strokade.com itself, plus redgifs.com only while visuals are enabled. (Device control and clip search are relayed through my server as described above; your browser never contacts handyfeeling.com or the Redgifs API directly, only the embedded player.) Beyond inspection, the Content-Security-Policy header I serve, enforced by your browser rather than my goodwill, pins the complete list of hosts this page is even allowed to contact; you can read it with any header checker.

Server logs

Like virtually every web server, mine keeps basic, short-lived request logs (IP address, timestamp, user agent, path requested) for security and reliability, for example spotting abuse of the rate limits. These logs are not linked to any profile (there are no profiles), are not used for analytics, and are routinely discarded.

Age

This service is intended only for adults aged 18 or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher).
